Role Description The Sales and Service Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Indore. This role involves visiting customer locations to install, commission, and maintain metal cutting machinery and related products, ensuring optimal performance and safety. The Sales and Service Engineer will diagnose technical issues, perform troubleshooting and repairs, and provide hands-on technical support to customers. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting product demonstrations, supporting the sales team with technical insights, preparing service reports, and offering recommendations for upgrades or replacements. The role also requires regular customer interaction to address service needs, gather feedback, and help strengthen long-term relationships.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in cutting machinery.
- Candidates should possess Field Service experience, including on-site installation, commissioning, and customer visits.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for explaining technical concepts, documenting service activities, and coordinating with internal teams.
- Candidates should possess Technical Support capabilities, including guiding customers on proper machine use and responding to service queries.
- Candidates should possess Maintenance & Repair skills for preventive maintenance, routine servicing, and corrective repairs of equipment.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering (or a related technical field) is preferred.
- Experience working with industrial machinery, metal cutting equipment, or manufacturing environments is an advantage.
- Ability to travel within the region, work on-site at customer facilities, and manage time and priorities independently.
- Basic computer skills for reporting, documentation, and use of service-related software.
