Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales and Service Engineer role based out of multiple locations. The role involves visiting customer sites to install, commission, and maintain plastics automation equipment, ensuring proper functioning and minimal downtime. The Sales and Service Engineer will diagnose technical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and provide clear guidance on equipment operation and best practices. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing service reports, coordinating with internal teams for spare parts and technical support, and following up with customers to maintain strong service relationships. The role also includes supporting sales activities by understanding customer requirements, demonstrating solutions, and assisting in preparing technical proposals and quotations.
Qualifications
- Technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation engineering, preferably related to industrial machinery or plastics processing.
- Hands-on experience with installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of equipment or automation systems.
- Ability to interact professionally with customers, explain technical concepts clearly, and build long-term service relationships.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capability to work independently at customer sites.
- Diploma or degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field).
- Willingness to travel for on-site service visits and flexibility to work in industrial environments.
- Basic computer skills for documentation, reporting, and use of service-related software tools.
- Prior experience in industrial sales or field service roles in manufacturing or automation is an advantage.
