Role Description The Retail Architect at BerryBunch.in will design and develop retail-focused interior and architectural concepts for showrooms, experience centers, and customer-facing spaces. This full-time, on-site role in Chennai involves preparing detailed drawings, layouts, and 3D visualizations, coordinating with project managers and contractors, and ensuring designs align with brand guidelines and user experience goals. The role includes conducting site visits, taking measurements, overseeing design implementation, and resolving design-related issues during execution. The Retail Architect will collaborate closely with clients to understand requirements, present design proposals, optimize space utilization, and support material selection and finishing details that reflect both functional needs and aesthetic standards.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in architectural design, space planning, and interior detailing for retail and residential environments.
- Proficiency with design and visualization tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar software, along with basic 3D rendering capabilities.
- Ability to prepare clear construction drawings, technical documentation, and specifications suitable for on-site execution.
- Strong project coordination, time management, and stakeholder communication skills to work effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Understanding of materials, finishes, lighting, and ergonomics relevant to retail spaces and home interiors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or a related field, with relevant experience in retail or interior projects.
- Capacity to work on-site in Chennai, conduct regular site visits, and adapt to dynamic project requirements.
- Prior experience in a design or build firm and familiarity with local building codes and industry standards will be an advantage.
