Role Description The Research Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, supporting space education and aerospace research initiatives at Aerione Bharat. This position involves conducting structured research, assisting in laboratory experiments, and supporting data collection and analysis for ongoing projects and student-led space experiments. The Research Assistant will help maintain laboratory equipment and documentation, prepare reports and summaries for internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to the design and refinement of educational and research programs. The role includes collaborating with educators, researchers, and students, supporting grant and project proposals, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and ethical research standards. The individual will also assist in organizing research activities, workshops, and demonstrations aligned with Aerione Bharat’s mission.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills and Data Analysis capabilities for interpreting experimental results and research findings.
- Domestic international travel is mandatory.
- Proficient Research skills, including literature review, experimental design support, and documentation of methodologies.
- Laboratory Skills such as handling instruments, following safety protocols, and assisting in experimental setup and testing.
- Effective Communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and presenting research outcomes clearly.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Astronomy, or a related STEM field.
- Familiarity with basic programming or data tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, Excel) for research and analysis is an advantage.
- Demonstrated interest in space science, rocketry, or STEM education, with the ability to support hands-on learning environments.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced research setting.
