Role Description
In the area of biodegradable packaging to come up with innovative packaging designs
The Graduate Research Assistant role at IIT Madras is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The role involves conducting literature reviews, designing and executing research experiments or studies, and supporting data collection and analysis under the guidance of a faculty supervisor. The Graduate Research Assistant will help maintain laboratory or project documentation, prepare research reports, and contribute to conference papers or journal publications. Day-to-day tasks may include coordinating with other research team members, assisting in the setup and calibration of equipment or software tools, and presenting interim findings in research meetings or seminars. The position also includes responsibilities such as adhering to ethical research practices, following safety protocols, and supporting the smooth operation of the laboratory or research group.
Qualifications
- Looking for committed, hardworking students with B.Tech (chemical, materials, polymers, mechanical, packaging technology), MSc (Chemistry, Applied chemistry), MSc Physics (with Materials technology interest)
- Good analytical skills/interested in experimental work and modelling mechanical behaviour of materials
- Valid GATE/NET score
- Interested in pursuing MS/Ph.D on this topic
