Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based at the Biotek India facility in Vadodara. The Research and Development Executive will design, develop, and optimize cosmetic formulations, working closely with production, quality, and regulatory teams to ensure product safety, stability, and compliance. Daily responsibilities include planning and conducting laboratory experiments, evaluating raw materials, performing sensory and performance assessments, documenting findings, and generating technical reports. The role also involves supporting scale-up activities, troubleshooting formulation or process challenges, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing and product development. Collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and technology will be key parts of this position.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Research and Development (R&D) and Research Development, with experience in designing experiments, analyzing data, and developing new or improved formulations.
- Candidates should possess skills in Food Technology and Food Science, or related applied science disciplines, to support formulation work, stability studies, and performance evaluations.
- Candidates should possess skills in Sensory Evaluation, including structured panel assessments and product performance testing relevant to cosmetics or similar consumer products.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Food Technology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in laboratory work, formulation development, and use of analytical instruments.
- Strong documentation skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with quality and regulatory standards (e.g., cGMP).
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly.
- Prior experience in cosmetic, personal care, or FMCG product development is an advantage.
