Role Description The Regional Officer role at Aavas Financiers Ltd. is a full-time, on-site position based in Mehsana. The Regional Officer is responsible for achieving business targets within the assigned territory, including sourcing new customers, managing existing customer relationships, and promoting affordable housing finance products. Daily activities include field visits, coordinating with branch teams, assessing customer eligibility, supporting loan documentation, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines. The role involves close engagement with local communities, monitoring portfolio quality, resolving customer issues, and providing timely feedback to management on market trends and competitor activities. The Regional Officer works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive sustainable growth and support Aavas’s mission of financial inclusion.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and business development capabilities, with experience in retail lending or financial services preferred.
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationships, including effective community outreach and local market engagement.
- Knowledge of basic credit assessment, documentation, and compliance processes in housing finance or related domains.
- Proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse customer segments.
- Comfort with field-based work, including regular travel within the region and familiarity with rural and semi-urban markets.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to work with standard office and lending-related software applications.
- Graduate degree in any discipline; a background in finance, commerce, or business management is an advantage.
- Prior experience in housing finance, NBFCs, microfinance, or banking will be considered beneficial.
