Role Description The Relationship Manager role is a full-time, hybrid position based in Kalyan, with a mix of on-site customer engagement and some work-from-home flexibility. In this role, the Relationship Manager will identify and onboard prospective home loan customers, explain product offerings, assess eligibility, and support applicants through the documentation and approval process. The role includes regular field visits, coordination with credit and operations teams, and proactive portfolio management to ensure timely repayments and high customer satisfaction. The Relationship Manager will maintain strong relationships with existing customers, address queries and service requests, and promote cross-sell opportunities where appropriate. This position also requires maintaining accurate records, adhering to internal policies and regulatory guidelines, and contributing to business growth targets in the assigned geography.
Qualifications
- Ability to build and manage customer relationships, including strong interpersonal, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Experience in sales or business development, preferably in housing finance, banking, or financial services, with a focus on field-based sourcing.
- Working knowledge of home loan products, basic credit assessment, and documentation requirements for self-employed and informal income segments.
- Strong communication skills in English and local languages, with the ability to explain financial products clearly and build trust.
- Comfort with using digital tools, mobile applications, and basic MS Office for lead management, reporting, and documentation.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and adherence to compliance and risk management standards.
- Minimum educational qualification: graduate degree in any discipline; a background in finance, commerce, or business is an advantage.
- Prior experience working in peri-urban or rural markets and willingness to travel locally within the Kalyan region.
