Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Relationship Manager role based in Kanpur. The Relationship Manager will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of clients, including MSME, consumer, and rural segment customers, by building strong, long-term relationships and understanding their credit needs. The role involves regular client meetings, assessing financial requirements, coordinating with internal credit and operations teams, and ensuring timely disbursal and servicing of loans. The Relationship Manager will track portfolio performance, monitor risk indicators, and support collections while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines. The position also includes identifying new business opportunities, contributing to branch-level targets, and providing market feedback to inform product and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong relationship management and customer service skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain long-term client partnerships.
- Sound understanding of lending and credit assessment, preferably within MSME, consumer, or rural finance segments.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, documentation review, and basic risk evaluation for loan proposals.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present solutions clearly and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Comfort with technology-driven processes, including use of CRM systems, digital lending platforms, and standard office productivity tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or relevant certification in banking or finance is an advantage.
- Prior experience in retail or MSME lending, relationship management, or branch banking is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Kanpur, travel locally for client visits, and meet performance targets in a fast-paced environment.
