Refinery Operations & Engineering Opportunities – Myanmar based (Expatriate roles)

The Company
Our client is an established organization operating within the energy and petroleum downstream sector in Myanmar. The business is strengthening its refinery operations and engineering capability, with a focus on safe and reliable operations, commissioning, startup, asset reliability, technical knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.
The Positions
- Process Control / Panel & Field Engineer - Supports day-to-day refinery operations through DCS monitoring, field supervision, troubleshooting, commissioning, startup and process optimization. The role will also act as a technical bridge between Chinese specialists and local operations teams. At least five years of relevant refinery, petrochemical, Oil & Gas or process-plant operations experience.
- Control Room Panel Engineer - Responsible for safe and efficient CCR operation across ADU/CDU, Jet-A1 Hydrotreater and Hydrogen Production Units, including DCS/ESD/SIS monitoring, startup, shutdown, process troubleshooting and emergency response. Candidates should bring extensive refinery operations and direct panel experience, with relevant unit experience essential.
- Maintenance Manager - Leads refinery maintenance across Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Rotating Equipment, Reliability and Planning. The role covers PM/PdM/CBM, shutdown and turnaround planning, equipment reliability, RCA, CMMS/ERP, commissioning and development of the local maintenance organization. Candidates should have 10+ years of relevant maintenance experience, including at least five years in leadership or management.
The Person
We are interested in experienced refinery professionals with backgrounds in Oil Refining, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, LNG or related process industries, depending on the position. Candidates should have strong operational or technical troubleshooting capability, exposure to commissioning/startup and a strong commitment to process safety and operational excellence.
These are full-time, site-based expatriate opportunities inMyanmar. Chinese-language capability and experience working with Chinese technical specialists or EPC teams will be advantageous for these roles.
