Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Red Hat OpenShift / Kubernetes Administrator with 8+ years of experience in Linux and container platform administration. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in installing, configuring, building, managing, and supporting OpenShift/Kubernetes environments, with particular expertise in OpenShift Networking and OpenShift Storage.

Locations: Bangalore | Chennai | Pune
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining highly available container platforms across Development, QA, and Production environments, along with platform upgrades, patching, troubleshooting, security, automation, and operational support.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in installing, configuring, building, managing, and supporting Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Linux system administration.
- Strong understanding of OpenShift/Kubernetes architecture, container orchestration, networking, and storage.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with OpenShift Networking, including services, routes, ingress, network policies, DNS, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with OpenShift Storage, including Persistent Volumes (PV), Persistent Volume Claims (PVC), Storage Classes, CSI, and storage troubleshooting.
- Experience managing OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters across Dev, QA, and Production environments.
- Hands-on experience with OpenShift CLI (oc) and Kubernetes CLI (kubectl).
- Experience with Helm and GitOps-based deployment practices.
- Experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD is preferred.
- Strong understanding of container lifecycle management, including image management, deployments, scaling, and rollbacks.
- Experience troubleshooting pods, nodes, networking, storage, cluster components, and application deployments.
- Experience performing cluster health checks, patching, upgrades, capacity planning, and lifecycle management.
- Experience integrating and supporting CI/CD pipelines with OpenShift/Kubernetes.
- Good knowledge of Jenkins, GitLab CI, Argo CD, or similar CI/CD tools.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or equivalent.
- Strong scripting/automation skills using Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages.
- Good understanding of OpenShift/Kubernetes security, including RBAC, secrets management, authentication, certificates, and security policies.
- Experience implementing security controls, vulnerability remediation, and compliance requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and configuration documentation.
- Willingness to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for production support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or equivalent OpenShift certification.
- Experience with Ansible and automation frameworks.
- Experience with enterprise storage technologies.
- Experience with AWS or other public cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud-native architecture and deployment practices.
- Experience in large-scale enterprise or financial services environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters across multiple environments.
- Perform cluster installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
- Manage OpenShift networking and resolve complex connectivity and routing issues.
- Manage OpenShift storage, PV/PVC, Storage Classes, CSI integrations, and storage-related incidents.
- Perform cluster health checks, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
- Manage container images, deployments, scaling, upgrades, and rollbacks.
- Troubleshoot production issues involving pods, nodes, networking, storage, and cluster components.
- Support CI/CD and GitOps integrations with the OpenShift platform.
- Implement security, compliance, and vulnerability remediation activities.
- Automate repetitive administrative and operational tasks.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Provide 24x7 production support through an on-call rotation.
