Role Description The Aveva Marine Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This role is responsible for administering and maintaining AVEVA Marine/E3D databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and availability for project teams. Day-to-day tasks include managing catalog and specifications setup, configuring user access and permissions, resolving system and model-related errors, and supporting project teams with technical troubleshooting. The Aveva Marine Administrator will collaborate with piping and engineering designers, coordinate with IT for system updates and backups, and document standards, procedures, and best practices. The role also involves monitoring system usage, optimizing workflows, and providing training or guidance to users to ensure effective use of AVEVA Marine tools.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in AVEVA Marine / AVEVA E3D administration, including database management, catalog and specification configuration, and project setup.
- Experience supporting EPC or engineering projects, with familiarity in piping design processes and integration of design tools with project workflows.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues, analyzing system errors, and implementing corrective actions to maintain stable and efficient environments.
- Ability to document procedures, create user guidelines, and support training for project teams using AVEVA Marine and related applications.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with designers, engineers, and IT personnel in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Relevant technical education (such as a diploma or degree in engineering, naval architecture, or a related field) and prior experience in CAD/3D modeling environments.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to project deadlines and quality standards.
