Role Description The Quality Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Nagercoil, responsible for overseeing and improving quality standards across hospital operations and clinical services. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring quality management systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards. The Quality Manager will conduct audits, review incident reports, analyze performance data, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions with clinical and administrative teams. Daily activities include collaborating with department heads on process improvement initiatives, organizing staff training on quality and safety protocols, and preparing reports and documentation for internal reviews and external accreditation. The role also requires active participation in quality committees, supporting patient safety programs, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement throughout the hospital.
Qualifications
- Strong background in healthcare quality management, including development and implementation of quality systems, policies, and procedures.
- Experience with clinical governance, patient safety initiatives, and compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
- Proficiency in data analysis, audit processes, performance measurement, and use of quality improvement methodologies (e.g., PDCA, root cause analysis).
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary clinical and administrative teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects, manage change, and drive continuous improvement in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, nursing, public health, or a related field; a master’s degree or specialized training in quality management is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience in pediatric or hospital environments is preferred, along with familiarity with Indian healthcare regulations and standards.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to ethical, patient-centered care.
