The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who will proactively improve the quality systems of the company through internal audits, participation in process improvement programs, and interaction with key partners to obtain constructive feedback.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop/Implement Quality Systems: Establish SOPs for production processes, design quality benchmarks aligned with buyer specifications, and ensure ISO 9001 compliance.
- Material Inspection: Audit incoming fabrics/trims approve raw materials (print, embroidery, wash) and reject substandard components.
- Production Monitoring: Conduct in-line inspections during sewing/finishing perform pre-final audits, and supervise final product compliance.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain quality records, prepare statistical reports on defects, and analyze data for process improvements.
Key Processes
- Pre-production: Conduct size-set approvals, lead pre-production meetings and validate tech packs/specifications.
- Production: Monitor workmanship/fitting, enforce compliance at cutting/sewing stages, and resolve construction impracticalities,
- Post-production: Audit packed goods, handle customer complaints, and ensure shipment-ready quality.
Skills & Competencies
- Technical: Garment measurement, defect analysis, knowledge of fabrics/textile testing.
- Soft Skills: Leadership, cross-department collaboration, and problem-solving.
- Regulatory: Understanding of AQL standards, safety compliance, and lab testing protocols.
Qualifications
- Experience: 6-15 years in garment QA/QC, with expertise in men’s/women’s/kidswear.
