Role Description The Pytha Draftsman will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and 3D models using Pytha software for modular furniture and custom interior projects. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting client requirements and design briefs, preparing accurate layout plans, optimizing material usage, and coordinating with production and installation teams to ensure feasibility and quality. The role involves revising drawings based on feedback, maintaining documentation and drawing standards, and collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and project managers to meet project timelines. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Thane, requiring regular interaction with the manufacturing unit and project teams to support smooth execution from concept to completion.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Pytha or similar CAD/CAM drafting software for furniture and interior layouts.
- Strong technical drawing skills, including 2D drafting, 3D modeling, and creating detailed shop drawings.
- Knowledge of modular furniture construction, woodworking processes, hardware, fittings, and material specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, measurements, and design specifications accurately.
- Experience coordinating with production, installation, and procurement teams to ensure design feasibility.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Mechanical Drafting, or a related technical field preferred.
- Prior experience as a draftsman in furniture manufacturing or interior fit-out will be an advantage.
