Role Description The Mechanical Design Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bhavnagar. The engineer will be responsible for designing mechanical components and assemblies, preparing detailed CAD models and drawings, and ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and manufacturability requirements. Day-to-day activities include collaborating with production teams, reviewing specifications, performing basic calculations, and optimizing designs for cost and efficiency. The role also involves supporting prototype development, resolving design-related issues on the shop floor, and updating documentation in line with any changes or improvements. The engineer will coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely execution of projects and adherence to quality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and applied design principles.
- Proficiency in Design Engineering and Machine Design for industrial and mechanical systems.
- Experience in Product Design, including concept development, material selection, and manufacturability considerations.
- Hands-on skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, standards, and specifications.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail in an industrial environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with shop-floor and engineering teams.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering setup is an advantage.
