Role Description The Purchasing Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at TRPL’s facility in Rajahmundry. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, including identifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely availability of raw materials, equipment, and services needed for solar glass manufacturing. The Purchasing Manager will monitor inventory levels, coordinate with production, quality, and finance teams, and maintain accurate purchasing records and reports. Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating supplier performance, optimizing costs without compromising quality, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. The role also involves developing purchasing strategies, supporting vendor development, and contributing to continuous improvement in supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong procurement and supply chain management skills, including vendor sourcing, contract negotiation, and cost optimization.
- Experience in inventory management, materials planning, and coordination with production and logistics teams.
- Knowledge of manufacturing or industrial purchasing, preferably within glass, solar, or related sectors.
- Proficiency in using ERP or purchasing software, spreadsheets, and standard office tools for reporting and data analysis.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and compliance requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, commerce, engineering, business, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Rajahmundry and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
