Procurement Manager

Industry-Ready Mix Concrete (RMC)
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to lead and manage all procurement activities for our Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, cost optimization, and ensuring the timely availability of quality materials to support uninterrupted production and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for cement, aggregates, admixtures, chemicals, spare parts, and plant equipment
- Source, evaluate, and manage approved vendors; monitor and assess supplier performance
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms to achieve cost efficiency
- Coordinate closely with batching plants, QC, stores, and project teams to forecast material requirements
- Monitor procurement budgets and expenditures, ensuring cost optimization
- Ensure timely delivery of materials in line with production schedules
- Maintain procurement documentation, reports, and vendor records
- Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and UAE regulations
- Lead, mentor, and develop procurement team members
- Support audits, inspections, and regulatory or authority approvals as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5–7 years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in Ready Mix Concrete or the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of RMC materials, suppliers, and market pricing
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in MS Office; ERP system experience preferred
- Strong communication, coordination, and reporting abilities
- UAE/GCC experience preferred
- Immediate joiners are highly preferred
project, site, and logistics teams, and maintaining accurate purchase records and documentation. The Purchase Manager will also evaluate supplier performance, ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements, and contribute to cost optimization and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in procurement or purchase management within construction, infrastructure, or ready-mix concrete operations.
- Proficiency in vendor sourcing, price negotiation, contract management, and inventory control.
- Ability to analyze material requirements, prepare purchase orders, and maintain accurate documentation and reports.
- Familiarity with construction materials, ready-mix production processes, and relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Effective communication and coordination skills to work with project managers, site engineers, suppliers, and logistics teams.
- Comfort with using ERP systems or procurement software, and strong skills in MS Excel and other office tools.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet project timelines.
- Prior experience in a similar role in the Chennai region or comparable market will be an advantage.
