Role Description The Public Health Officer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Deoria. The Public Health Officer will plan, implement, and monitor public health programs focused on disease prevention, health promotion, and community outreach. Daily responsibilities include assessing community health needs, collecting and analyzing health data, coordinating environmental and community health initiatives, and conducting health education sessions for diverse groups. The role involves close collaboration with medical staff, local authorities, and community organizations to design and deliver evidence-based interventions. The Public Health Officer will also support reporting, documentation, and compliance with relevant public health guidelines and regulations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Community Health and Health Promotion to design and implement effective outreach and education programs.
- Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in Environmental Health to identify and manage environmental factors affecting public health.
- Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Medicine to understand clinical issues, interpret medical information, and collaborate with healthcare providers.
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to collect, interpret, and report health data, and to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Relevant degree in Public Health, Community Medicine, Nursing, or a related health science field.
- Ability to communicate clearly with community members, multidisciplinary teams, and local authorities.
- Experience in program planning, monitoring, and evaluation within a public or community health setting is beneficial.
