Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Project Manager Civil role based in Tezu. The Project Manager Civil will oversee planning, scheduling, and execution of civil construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include coordinating with site engineers, contractors, and suppliers, monitoring project progress, managing budgets and resources, and preparing regular status reports. The role involves conducting site inspections, resolving technical and operational issues, and implementing quality control measures to maintain construction standards. The Project Manager Civil will also support client communication, participate in review meetings, and drive continuous improvement in project delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong civil engineering knowledge, including structural design fundamentals, construction methods, and materials management.
- Proficiency in project planning and control tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera or similar) and experience with scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents, and coordinate effectively with design and site teams.
- Sound understanding of safety regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements relevant to civil and infrastructure projects.
- Effective communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills, with the ability to guide on-site teams and collaborate with government and private clients.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and risk management capabilities in dynamic project environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are an advantage.
- Prior experience managing civil or infrastructure projects, preferably in Government sector works or similar large-scale developments.
