Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced
Program Manager to lead and manage complex software development programs in an Agile environment. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in software development, program/project management, stakeholder management, and Agile methodologies, with proven experience delivering products successfully at scale.
The candidate should be capable of independently managing cross-functional programs, driving delivery, mitigating risks, and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex software development programs within Agile/Scaled Agile environments.
- Develop and manage project schedules, staffing plans, task durations, dependencies, milestones, and delivery plans.
- Drive program execution using SAFe, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
- Prepare and present business, technical, and program status reports to senior leadership.
- Leverage Jira, dashboards, metrics, and digital reporting tools to track and communicate program health.
- Proactively identify risks, issues, dependencies, and roadblocks and drive appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Dynamically adjust project plans based on delays, changing priorities, and emerging challenges.
- Independently coordinate cross-functional deliverables and resolve complex problems with minimal supervision.
- Facilitate collaboration between engineering, product, QA, business, and other stakeholders.
- Champion software development best practices, including Scaled Agile, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Continuous Integration (CI).
- Drive solution definition from high-level requirements and use cases through execution and delivery.
- Ensure programs remain aligned with business objectives, timelines, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations.
- Provide effective leadership, mentoring, and guidance to project/program teams.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- 16+ years of overall experience in software development/program or project management.
- Minimum 4–5+ years of hands-on Program Management experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAFe, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
- Proven experience managing and delivering software products/programs in an Agile environment.
- Strong expertise in program planning, scheduling, resource management, dependencies, risks, and issue management.
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Strong experience presenting program/business/technical status reports to senior leadership.
- Hands-on experience with Jira and program/project tracking dashboards.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business communication.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity with minimal managerial oversight.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent Agile/Scrum certification.
- Experience working in Scaled Agile/large enterprise programs.
- Exposure to Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI) practices.
- Experience with digital/metrics dashboards and advanced program reporting.
- Strong technical background in software development.
- Experience working with globally distributed and cross-functional teams.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a
senior technology/program management professional with a strong software development foundation and proven experience leading complex Agile programs. The candidate should combine technical understanding with strong leadership, stakeholder management, and delivery ownership.
