Role Description The Production Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore, responsible for overseeing daily production activities on the shop floor. This role includes planning and organizing production schedules, assigning tasks, monitoring output, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency targets. The Production Supervisor coordinates with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve issues, minimize downtime, and optimize resource utilization. The role also involves tracking production data, preparing reports, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and guiding production staff through clear communication and hands-on supervision.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, coaching, and performance monitoring.
- Candidates should possess experience in managing production schedules and coordinating daily workflow to meet delivery timelines.
- Candidates should possess skills in production planning and resource allocation to optimize capacity, materials, and manpower.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills for clear instructions, cross-functional coordination, and reporting.
- Candidates should possess a solid foundation in production management, including quality, safety, and process improvement practices.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering (or related field) is preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing environments, ideally in mechanical components or industrial products, is an advantage.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, or similar continuous improvement methodologies is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Coimbatore, manage shifts if required, and handle fast-paced, target-driven operations.
