Role Description The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day production activities for transformer manufacturing at the Rajkot facility. This full-time, on-site role includes planning and scheduling production, coordinating with engineering, quality, and procurement teams, and ensuring that output meets safety, quality, and delivery targets. The person in this role will monitor production performance, optimize resource utilization, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste. They will lead and develop production staff, enforce compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and maintain accurate production documentation and reports. The Production Manager will also support troubleshooting of manufacturing issues, participate in audits, and contribute to strategic decisions related to capacity, technology, and equipment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong production management and manufacturing operations skills, including planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization.
- Candidates should possess skills in people leadership and team management, including mentoring, performance supervision, and conflict resolution.
- Candidates should possess skills in quality and safety management, including adherence to industry standards, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement practices.
- Candidates should possess skills in data-driven decision-making, including use of production metrics, reporting tools, and basic analytical capabilities.
- Candidates should possess skills in cross-functional collaboration and communication, working effectively with engineering, procurement, quality, and senior management.
- Relevant experience in transformer manufacturing or heavy electrical equipment production is highly beneficial.
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, or a related technical field, is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, or similar continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Rajkot, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a high standard of professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
