We’re Hiring: Jewelry Production Manager
Are you a operational leader with a deep understanding of jewelry manufacturing, bench craftsmanship, and supply chain logistics?
We are seeking a Jewelry Production Manager to lead our studio operations, oversee end-to-end manufacturing, and ensure every piece meets the highest standards of craftsmanship, on-time delivery, and margin efficiency.
About the Role
As our Jewelry Production Manager, you will serve as the engine of our manufacturing operations. You will translate creative CAD designs into finished pieces by managing production schedules, leading bench jewelers, overseeing precious material inventory, and managing vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Workflow & Scheduling: Manage the daily production line for custom, batch, and wholesale orders from CAD/3D printing to casting, setting, and final polish.
- Quality Assurance & Control: Enforce multi-stage QC inspections to guarantee structural integrity, setting security, hallmarking accuracy, and surface finish perfection.
- Precious Metal & Gemstone Logistics: Track raw metal stock (gold, platinum, silver) and gemstone inventory. Monitor and minimize metal loss/scrap throughout casting and bench processes.
- Vendor & Supply Chain Management: Partner with external casting houses, stone cutters, platers, and material suppliers to maintain quality standards and competitive costs.
- Costing & Yield Optimization: Calculate labor, material, and loss costs per unit to maintain target profit margins.
- Team Leadership & Safety: Supervise bench jewelers, setters, and technicians while maintaining strict studio safety protocols (ventilation, chemical handling, torch safety).
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 4+ years in jewelry production, studio management, or manufacturing supervision.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of CAD/CAM 3D wax printing, investment casting, stone setting techniques (pave, bezel, prong), laser welding, and electroplating.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with ERP/inventory systems (e.g., NetSuite, Fishbowl, SAP) and Excel.
- Analytical Mindset: Exceptional eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a data-driven approach to production scheduling and yield tracking.
