Client Location: Canada
Work Location: Remote
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (9.30 PM to 6:30 AM IST)
Experience Level: 3+ Years
About The Role
As a Product Designer, you'll help shape thoughtful, intuitive experiences across our products from early concepts through to delivery. You'll work closely with Product, Management and other cross-functional partners to understand user needs, explore solutions, and turn problems into clear, usable experiences. You'll bring a foundation in product and UX design, curiosity about how technology works, and the ability to move confidently through the design process. You'll be comfortable exploring multiple approaches, communicating your thinking, incorporating feedback, and helping teams make informed design decisions. This is an opportunity to have meaningful ownership over your work while contributing to a collaborative and evolving design practice.
What You'll Do
- Conduct foundational user research and discovery to understand user needs, behaviours, and problems, using insights to inform and inspire your design approach.
- Translate user and business needs into thoughtful, practical product experiences across the design process.
- Explore a range of concepts and variations, using sketches, prototypes, motion references, and other tools to communicate and evaluate ideas.
- Apply established UX and product design methods to solve common and moderately complex design problems.
- Facilitate UX activities and workshops that bring cross-functional teams together and build shared understanding and ownership.
- Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, and other stakeholders to develop and deliver usable, cohesive experiences.
- Clearly communicate design decisions, trade-offs, and rationale to cross-functional partners and design leadership.
- Contribute actively to cross-functional discussions, seek input from others, and work constructively through differing perspectives or areas of disagreement.
- Provide thoughtful design feedback to peers and contribute to a positive, collaborative design culture.
- Contribute to the development and evolution of design tools, processes, and methods across the team.
- Develop a strong understanding of the underlying technology and technical constraints that influence the experiences you design.
- Stay curious about emerging design practices, tools, and technologies and bring relevant ideas back to the team.
What You Bring:
- 3+ years of experience in product design, UX design, or a closely related discipline, ideally designing digital products or software.
- A strong understanding of user-centred design principles and the ability to apply UX methodologies effectively.
- Experience taking designs from early concepts and exploration through prototyping, testing, refinement, and delivery.
- A portfolio that demonstrates strong product thinking, thoughtful design decisions, and your ability to explore and communicate different solutions.
- Confidence solving common product and UX problems using established design best practices and methods.
- Strong visual and interaction design skills, with the ability to communicate ideas through sketches, prototypes, flows, and other design artifacts.
- The ability to think critically and quickly generate, evaluate, and refine multiple ideas.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain your design rationale to both design and non-design audiences.
- Comfort receiving and incorporating feedback, challenging ideas constructively, and navigating differing perspectives.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to actively contribute to the work and development of the broader design team.
- A working understanding of the technology behind digital products and an ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams.
- Experience with common product design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
- Curiosity, empathy, and a practical approach to solving problems for both users and the business.
