Semiconductor to work on advanced semiconductor process technologies, materials, and equipment.
The Role
As a Process Engineer, you will work on cutting-edge semiconductor technologies involving process development,
materials science, surface engineering, deposition, etching, and process optimization. You will develop and improve
advanced process formulations, evaluate process and equipment performance, analyze experimental data, and
collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust semiconductor manufacturing solutions.
What You’ll Do
• Conduct process engineering research, development, characterization, and evaluation for advanced
semiconductor processes and equipment.
• Develop, optimize, and sustain semiconductor manufacturing processes to improve yield, performance, reliability,
and cost.
• Review existing processing techniques and identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization.
• Develop new process formulations and define equipment/process requirements based on application needs.
• Plan and execute experiments, collect process data, and analyze results to drive process development.
• Compile and interpret experimental and production data to establish process windows, specifications, limits, and
variables.
• Apply Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and statistical analysis methodologies for
process optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to evaluate process compatibility with equipment and product
requirements.
• Support customer demonstrations, technical evaluations, and process application development.
• Work with internal teams and customers to understand technology roadmaps, process flows, technical
requirements, and business challenges.
• Contribute to next-generation semiconductor product and process development activities.
• Troubleshoot complex process and equipment issues and develop data-driven corrective actions.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, process documentation, and recommendations.
• Provide technical guidance and direction to process technicians and junior engineers.
• Work effectively in a highly collaborative, matrixed, and cross-functional environment.
Minimum Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related technical discipline
with 6+ years of relevant experience; OR
• PhD in a relevant technical discipline with 3+ years of relevant experience; OR
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor process engineering and experimental methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in process development, process optimization, or semiconductor manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications
• Hands-on experience working in semiconductor laboratories and/or semiconductor manufacturing environments.
• Experience with semiconductor equipment, surface preparation, process characterization, and analytical
techniques.
• Strong knowledge of SPC, DOE, statistical analysis, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or other scientific computing/programming languages.
• Experience with statistical analysis tools such as JMP, Minitab, or similar platforms.
• Experience with ALD, CVD, PECVD, PVD, plasma physics, RIE, ALE, ICP, or CCP.
• Knowledge of material synthesis, thin-film deposition, and material characterization.
• Experience with semiconductor process integration, process design, deposition, etch, dielectric films,
conductor/metal films, or related technologies.
• Experience working with semiconductor customers, suppliers, partners, or cross-functional engineering
organizations.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and technical problem-solving skills.
What You’ll Gain
• Opportunity to work on advanced semiconductor technologies and next-generation process development.
• Exposure to complex process engineering and material science challenges.
• Collaboration with experienced engineering, technology, and customer-facing teams.
• Opportunity to make a direct impact on semiconductor manufacturing performance, yield, and innovation.
• A collaborative environment that encourages technical ownership, continuous learning, and innovation.
