Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Political Analyst role based in Gujarat, India. The Political Analyst will collect, organize, and analyze political, demographic, and electoral data to generate actionable insights for campaigns and strategy projects. The role involves preparing research briefs, reports, and presentations; tracking political developments, public sentiment, and media narratives; and supporting the design of campaign strategies and messaging. The individual will collaborate with internal teams to translate analysis into clear recommendations, contribute to field research planning, and support project execution timelines. The Political Analyst will also may assist in Business Intelligence and Market Research activities for corporate clients as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and derive clear political insights.
- Solid grounding in Political Science, Politics, and Political Analysis to understand Indian political systems, parties, and electoral dynamics.
- Effective Communication skills, including the ability to present findings clearly in written reports and verbal briefings.
- Relevant academic background, preferably in Political Science, Public Policy, Economics, Statistics, or related fields.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, data visualization tools, and basic statistical analysis; familiarity with survey or polling data is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work under deadlines, and openness to intensive project schedules around election cycles.
- Prior experience in political consulting, research organizations, think tanks, or market research is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of Indian regional politics and proficiency in English & Gujarati is must
Job Location
It being field work, involving intense travel, candidate will not have fixed job location. Nevertheless, once in 10 days a day or two will be spent in Ahmedabad. Candidates from Ahmedabad and north Gujarat will be preferred.
Duration
It is a short term assignment stretching upto end of Gujarat assembly elections (Nov-Dec 2027).
