Role Description The Factory Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Pollachi, responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations in the doormat production facility. This role includes planning and monitoring production schedules, coordinating resources, and ensuring that output meets quality, safety, and delivery standards. The Factory Manager supervises production teams, optimizes workflow and equipment utilization, and implements process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste. The role also involves maintaining compliance with safety regulations, managing inventory related to raw materials and finished goods, and collaborating with senior management on operational strategy and performance reporting.
Qualifications
- Strong production planning and production management skills, with experience coordinating schedules, resources, and workflows.
- Proficiency in quality control and manufacturing operations to ensure consistent product standards and process reliability.
- Operations management experience, including monitoring KPIs, optimizing processes, and managing factory-level performance.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience supervising teams, assigning tasks, and fostering a safe and inclusive work environment.
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and compliance practices relevant to manufacturing facilities.
- Ability to analyze data, prepare operational reports, and make decisions based on production and quality metrics.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Relevant diploma or degree in manufacturing, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field; prior experience in the coir or textile industry is an advantage.
