Position: Planning Engineer with Construction MNC
Job Location: Becharaji / Vithalapur, Dist. Ahmedabad (Approx. 77 km from Ahmedabad)
Qualification: Diploma / Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering
Experience Required: 5–10 Years
CTC Offered: Up to ₹15 LPA
Role OverviewThe Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling the project schedule, resource plan, and progress reporting for construction projects. This role ensures timely execution of works by coordinating with site teams, subcontractors, procurement, and management, while providing early warnings for delays, risks, and potential project impacts.
We are looking for a Planning Engineer with strong expertise in micro-level planning, scheduling, and execution tracking for industrial/EPC projects. The role requires detailed activity-wise planning, delay analysis, and close coordination with site execution, procurement, and engineering teams to ensure timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Develop detailed micro-level project schedules with activity-wise breakdown, logic, and dependencies
- Support the tendering team by preparing preliminary schedules, execution strategies, and resource-loaded plans
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly progress against baseline schedules and contractual milestones
- Prepare periodic progress reports, dashboards, and management presentations
- Perform critical path analysis, delay analysis, and prepare Extension of Time (EOT) submissions and claim documentation
- Identify project risks, execution bottlenecks, and provide early warning with mitigation strategies
- Coordinate closely with site execution, subcontractors, procurement, engineering, and management teams
- Track resource utilization, productivity, project milestones, and material availability
- Prepare short-term look-ahead plans (weekly/monthly) to ensure smooth execution
- Develop recovery plans for delayed activities through activity resequencing and resource optimization
Key Skills Required- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel, and MS Office
- Good understanding of construction sequencing, WBS, project controls, and resource planning
- Experience in industrial, EPC, or multipurpose construction projects
- Strong analytical, coordination, reporting, and communication skills
Candidate Profile- 5–10 years of relevant planning experience in industrial/EPC construction projects
- Ability to independently manage planning, scheduling, and project monitoring
- Strong exposure to micro-level planning and execution coordination
- Proactive approach towards project risk identification and schedule recovery
