Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role based at Dr. Ram's Advanced Surgical Hospital in Ahmedabad. The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, verifying prescriptions, and ensuring compliance with all legal and hospital protocols. Day-to-day tasks include counseling patients on proper medication use, dosage, and potential side effects, maintaining inventory and stock levels, and coordinating with physicians and nursing staff on medication-related queries. The role also involves monitoring for drug interactions, maintaining detailed records, supporting quality assurance activities, and contributing to the safe and efficient functioning of the hospital pharmacy.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in pharmacology, therapeutics, and clinical pharmacy, with the ability to interpret and verify prescriptions accurately.
- Experience in hospital or clinical pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, inventory management, and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Knowledge of drug interactions, side effects, and safe dosage practices, with skills in patient counseling and medication education.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and maintaining clear, accurate documentation and records.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
- Strong attention to detail, ethical practice, and commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical hospital environment, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.
- Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm / Pharm.D) from an accredited institution; valid pharmacist registration/license as per local regulations.
- Previous experience in a surgical or specialty hospital setting is an advantage.
