Role Description The PGT Commerce role is a full-time, on-site teaching position located in Bagh. The educator will plan and deliver engaging Commerce lessons for senior secondary classes in line with CBSE curriculum and school guidelines. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, conducting classroom teaching, assessing student performance, and providing academic guidance and mentoring. The role also involves maintaining student records, participating in examinations and evaluations, and collaborating with colleagues on academic planning and school activities. The PGT Commerce faculty member is expected to contribute to co-curricular initiatives, support discipline and values, and communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
Qualifications
- Strong subject knowledge in Commerce and related disciplines, with the ability to teach senior secondary (PGT) level.
- Well-developed analytical skills to explain complex concepts, interpret data, and support students in problem-solving.
- Effective communication skills to engage students, collaborate with colleagues, and interact professionally with parents and the school community.
- Understanding of customer service and relationship-building principles to ensure a supportive, learner-centric classroom environment.
- Basic knowledge of sales, marketing, and business practices to provide practical, real-world examples in Commerce teaching.
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Commerce or a related field, along with B.Ed. or relevant teaching qualification as per CBSE norms.
- Prior teaching experience at senior secondary level, preferably in a CBSE-affiliated school.
- Ability to use classroom technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and assessments.
- Commitment to student-centered learning, ethical conduct, and continuous professional development.
