Role Description The PGT Physics role is a full-time, on-site teaching position based at Mahesh Memorial Public Higher Secondary School in Bagh. The faculty member will plan and deliver engaging Physics lessons for senior secondary classes, aligned with CBSE curriculum and school guidelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, conducting classroom teaching, organizing laboratory work and demonstrations, assessing student performance, and providing academic support through remedial sessions and mentoring. The role also involves designing question papers, evaluating answer scripts, maintaining accurate academic records, and contributing to curriculum enrichment. In addition, the PGT Physics teacher is expected to participate in school events, coordinate with colleagues and parents, and support students in board exam preparation and competitive exam readiness.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in core Physics concepts and applications, with the ability to teach senior secondary (Classes XI–XII) effectively.
- Knowledge of Radiation and Medical Physics topics, with the ability to relate concepts to real-world and interdisciplinary contexts.
- Understanding of Theoretical Physics and advanced problem-solving methods relevant to CBSE and competitive examinations.
- Expertise in Physics Education practices, including lesson planning, lab-based teaching, and use of student-centered instructional strategies.
- Master’s degree in Physics or a related discipline, along with B.Ed. or equivalent teacher education qualification (as per CBSE norms).
- Experience teaching Physics at senior secondary level, preferably in a CBSE-affiliated school.
- Ability to design and conduct practicals, manage laboratory resources safely, and integrate experiments into daily teaching.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and mentoring skills, with an inclusive and value-based approach to student development.
- Comfort with using basic educational technology and digital resources to support teaching and assessment.
