Pathologist
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pathologist role based in Banswara. The Pathologist will perform diagnostic evaluations of specimens, including tissue, blood, and body fluids, to support accurate clinical decision-making. Daily responsibilities include supervising and conducting laboratory tests, interpreting histopathological and laboratory findings, validating results, and preparing clear diagnostic reports for treating clinicians. The role involves collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to guide patient management, maintaining stringent quality control and safety standards, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The Pathologist will also contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory processes and may participate in training and mentoring of laboratory staff.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, with demonstrated ability to interpret a wide range of diagnostic tests.
- Proficiency in core Laboratory Skills, including specimen handling, test procedures, quality control, and use of laboratory equipment.
- Expertise in Histology, including tissue processing, staining techniques, and microscopic examination.
- Solid knowledge of clinical Medicine to correlate laboratory findings with patient presentations and support treatment decisions.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with specialization in Pathology (MD/DNB or equivalent), and valid registration with the appropriate medical council.
- Attention to detail, strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and the ability to provide clear written and verbal reports.
- Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and adherence to laboratory standards and infection control protocols.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and adapt to a patient-centered, service-oriented environment.
