Role Description This is a full-time, on-site General Surgeon role based at Healing Hands Clinic in Hyderabad. The General Surgeon will perform elective and emergency surgical procedures, primarily related to gastrointestinal, colorectal, hernia, and other general surgery conditions, in line with clinic specialties. Daily responsibilities include conducting pre-operative assessments, performing surgeries, managing post-operative care, and coordinating with anesthesiologists, nursing staff, and other specialists to ensure safe and effective patient care. The role involves outpatient consultations, diagnostic evaluations, interpretation of imaging and lab results, and development of evidence-based treatment plans. The General Surgeon will also participate in clinical quality improvement, maintain accurate medical records, adhere to established protocols and safety standards, and contribute to patient education and preventive care initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Surgery with the ability to diagnose and manage a broad range of surgical and related medical conditions.
- Advanced proficiency in Surgery, particularly general and colorectal procedures, with experience in minimally invasive techniques preferred.
- Working knowledge of Anorectal Surgery and Colorectal Surgery to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary cases when required.
- Basic understanding of Proctology to coordinate care for patients with multi-system conditions, as appropriate.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS MS ) and completed residency/training in General Surgery from an accredited institution.
- Valid medical and surgical license/registration as required by local regulatory authorities; board certification in General Surgery is an advantage.
- Demonstrated expertise in perioperative care, infection control, and adherence to clinical safety and quality guidelines.
- Excellent clinical judgment, manual dexterity, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and a patient-centered approach to care, including clear explanation of procedures and risks.
- Willingness to participate in continued medical education, adopt new technologies, and support clinic protocols and standards.
