The consultancy provides end-to-end assistance, including admission counseling, university and course selection, application support, scholarship and visa assistance, and post-departure guidance. Students are supported for study destinations such as the Germany, Italy, France, Europe and UK.
Role Description:
• The Overseas Education Counselor is a full-time remote role responsible for guiding prospective students through the entire process of studying abroad.
• Day-to-day tasks include conducting counseling sessions, understanding students’ academic profiles and career goals, and advising on suitable countries, universities, and courses.
• The counselor will assist with application planning, documentation requirements (such as resumes, statements of purpose, and recommendation letters), and scholarship and visa guidance.
• The role involves regular communication with students and families, maintaining accurate records of interactions, and coordinating with partner institutions and internal teams.
• The counselor will also provide post-admission support, including pre-departure briefings and connecting students with mentors abroad to ensure a smooth transition.
Qualifications:
- Candidates should possess Basic Customer Service skills or Educational Consulting and Education sector knowledge, with familiarity in international higher education systems and admission processes (Not Mandatory but advantage for shortlisting).
- Candidates should possess Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to assess academic backgrounds, clarify goals, and recommend appropriate study paths.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear spoken and written English, active listening, and the ability to explain complex information simply.
- Candidates should possess organizational and documentation skills for managing applications, deadlines, and materials such as SOPs, LORs, resumes, and essays.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with basic digital tools and CRM or student management systems to work effectively in a remote environment.
- Bachelor’s degree Pursuing or completed prior experience in overseas education or academic counseling is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate cultural sensitivity when interacting with students from diverse backgrounds.
