Role Description As an Academic Counsellor at Campus Updates, you will provide one-on-one and group counseling to students on college selection, entrance exam preparation, and academic pathways. You will conduct structured academic advising sessions, help students understand course options and program requirements, and support them in setting realistic educational and career goals. Daily tasks include responding to student inquiries, maintaining accurate counseling records, coordinating with mentors and faculty partners, and contributing to webinars, workshops, and information sessions. You will also assist in creating guidance materials, FAQs, and resource content that clarify admissions processes and career options. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Indore, requiring consistent availability during office hours and occasional participation in events and outreach activities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Academic Advising skills, with the ability to support diverse learner needs.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear oral and written communication and active listening.
- Candidates should possess Career Counseling and Education-related knowledge to guide students on suitable career and academic pathways.
- Candidates should possess skills in relationship building, empathy, and problem-solving to create a supportive advising environment.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field are preferred.
- Prior experience in academic counseling, admissions advising, or student support services is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with higher education systems, entrance exams, and postgraduate options (e.g., MBA and other professional programs) is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Indore, manage multiple cases efficiently, and use digital tools for scheduling, documentation, and communication.
