About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Hyperion Technical Expert to design, implement, administer, and support Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platforms. The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical expertise in Hyperion Planning, Essbase, EPMA, FDMEE/Data Management, Financial Reporting (FR), Enterprise Performance Reporting Cloud Service (EPRCS), and Oracle Hyperion architecture. The role focuses on ensuring the stability, performance, security, and continuous enhancement of Oracle Hyperion technical environments.
Key Responsibilities
Oracle Hyperion EPM Administration
● Install, configure, administer, and maintain Oracle Hyperion EPM environments across Development, Testing, and Production.
● Design and maintain Hyperion application architecture, including environments, security, metadata, and application configurations.
● Ensure high availability, stability, and performance of Oracle Hyperion platforms.
● Perform environment cloning, migrations, and deployment activities.
Hyperion Planning & EPMA
● Configure and maintain Oracle Hyperion Planning applications.
● Manage application metadata, dimensions, hierarchies, security, business rules, and workflows.
● Support Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Architect (EPMA) administration.
● Troubleshoot application configuration and deployment issues.
Oracle Essbase Administration
● Design, configure, and administer Oracle Essbase cubes.
● Develop and optimize calculation scripts, load rules, business rules, and aggregation processes.
● Monitor cube performance and optimize database structures.
● Perform backup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Essbase environments.
Data Integration & Reporting
● Develop, configure, and support Oracle FDMEE and Data Management integrations.
● Design and maintain automated data loading and validation processes.
● Support Oracle Financial Reporting (FR) and EPRCS from a technical perspective.
● Configure scheduling, security, deployment, and integration for reporting solutions.
Performance Optimization & Support
● Monitor Hyperion application performance and system health.
● Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex technical issues.
● Tune application performance, Essbase cubes, and data integration processes.
● Act as the technical escalation point for Hyperion-related incidents.
Upgrades & Patch Management
● Plan and execute application upgrades, patches, and version migrations.
● Maintain disaster recovery (DR) environments and support business continuity testing.
● Implement technical enhancements to improve system performance and reliability.
● Coordinate with Oracle Support for issue resolution and product updates.
Documentation & Governance
● Develop and maintain technical architecture documentation, configuration guides, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and operational runbooks.
● Document system changes following change management procedures.
● Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and governance standards.
● Maintain environment inventory and configuration records.
Training & Collaboration
● Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to IT teams.
● Conduct technical workshops and end-user training sessions where required.
● Collaborate with Finance, Infrastructure, Database, and Application teams on enterprise initiatives.
● Support implementation projects and system enhancement activities.
Required Qualifications
● Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
● Minimum 8 years of hands-on technical experience with Oracle Hyperion EPM platforms.
Strong expertise in:
○ Oracle Hyperion Planning
○ Oracle EPMA
○ Oracle Essbase
○ Oracle FDMEE / Data Management
○ Oracle Financial Reporting (FR)
○ Oracle EPRCS
● Strong understanding of Oracle Hyperion architecture, including Development, Testing, Production, and Disaster Recovery environments.
● Experience with Hyperion environment deployment, administration, upgrades, and performance tuning.
● Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
