Position Details:
Role: Operations-Lead
Location: Hyderabad - Pashamailaram
Financial Responsibilities: Spend Management, Budget Control, Inventory Control, Cost Reduction, Supplier Cost Management,Strategic Sourcing, Procurement Savings.
Education: Graduate or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 5 - 10 Years of Experience
Desirable Experience: 5 - 10 Years of Experience in PP & MM Module (SAP)
Industry: Engineering Products/Auto Components/Defence components/Automotive
Relevant Experience: In multi-plant manufacturing environments and of leading large-scale automation projects.
Reporting to: Head - Operations
Language: English, Telugu, Hindi
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, qualify, and onboard new suppliers for raw materials, bought-out components, machining and other allied services.
2. Drive supplier development programs to improve supplier capability, quality, capacity, cost competitiveness, and delivery performance.
3. Manage end-to-end procurement activities including supplier evaluation, negotiation, supplier selection, and order finalization.
4. Create, release, monitor, and close Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP to ensure timely material availability.
5. Follow up on open POs, expedite critical materials, and ensure adherence to delivery schedules.
6. Develop alternate sources to reduce supply risks, improve quality, and achieve cost savings.
7. Evaluate supplier performance based on Quality, Cost, Delivery, Development and Digitalization (QCDDD) parameters and implement improvement plans.
8. Coordinate with Suppliers, Production, Quality, Stores, and Finance teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.
9. Optimize inventory levels, reduce procurement lead times, and support value engineering and cost reduction initiatives.
10. Support Operational Excellence initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, Lean, and JIT practices.
11. Working Knowledge in CNC, VMC, Machining etc.

1. Material availability - On Time In Full(OTIF).
2. Effective PO management and supplier delivery adherence.
3. New supplier development and qualification.
4. Supplier quality and delivery performance improvement.
5. Procurement cost savings and spend optimization.
6. Inventory control and lead-time reduction.
Skills / Competencies:
1. Good Exposure on Vendor & Supplier Development
2. Sound knowledge on Purchasing & PO Management
3. Material Sourcing & Negotiation - Good exposure to foundry and workshop practices is desirable.
4. Supplier Performance Management
5. Inventory Control & Material Planning
6. Expertise in Product Costing
7. SAP MM Module
8. Should Possess Strong Communication, Coordination, and Leadership Skills
9. Exposure in Basic Operational Excellence Practices like 5S, Kaizen, Lean , JIT etc.
10. Experience in Digitalization of processes , Good PPT skills for Award Nominations and Business Excellence Programs
