Role Description The Nursing In-charge is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. The role involves overseeing nursing operations on assigned units, including staffing, scheduling, and coordination of care to ensure safe, evidence-based oncology and hematology services. The Nursing In-charge monitors patient care quality and safety, supervises and mentors nursing staff, and supports adherence to clinical protocols, infection control, and documentation standards. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, managing resources and supplies, addressing patient and family concerns, and participating in audits and quality improvement initiatives. The role also requires active involvement in staff training, orientation of new team members, and implementation of institutional policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Nursing and Patient Care skills, with demonstrated experience in oncology or hematology settings.
- Candidates should possess Nursing Management skills, including team supervision, workload planning, and coordination of nursing services.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Medicine and Critical Care Medicine relevant to cancer care, including emergency response and symptom management.
- Relevant nursing qualification (GNM, B.Sc. Nursing, or equivalent) and valid professional registration with the appropriate nursing council.
- Prior experience in a leadership or charge nurse role, preferably within oncology, hematology, or critical care units.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and continuous professional development.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical setting and manage multiple priorities effectively.
