Role Description This is a full-time, on-site News Anchor cum Reporter role based in Bhubaneswar. The role involves researching and developing news stories, conducting interviews, and presenting news bulletins and special segments on camera in a clear and engaging manner. The News Anchor cum Reporter will gather information from multiple sources, verify facts, and prepare scripts and reports for digital and video platforms. Daily responsibilities include attending events and press conferences, covering breaking news, collaborating with producers and editors, and adapting content for social media. The role requires adherence to editorial guidelines, maintaining journalistic ethics, and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom env

Qualifications
- Strong reporting and news-writing skills, including research, fact-checking, and script preparation.
- On-camera presentation skills, with clear articulation, confident screen presence, and the ability to handle live broadcasts.
- Ability to build and maintain sources, conduct interviews, and cover events, press conferences, and breaking stories.
- Familiarity with digital media formats, basic video production workflows, and social media content adaptation.
- Excellent command of English and Odia (spoken and written), with strong grammar, clarity, and storytelling ability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience as a reporter, anchor, or in a newsroom or digital media environment is an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as news demands.
- High ethical standards, strong news sense, and commitment to accuracy, fairness, and impartial coverage.
- Collaborative mindset, time management skills, and the ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines.
