Role Description This is a full-time, on-site News Anchor role based in Shahjahanpur. The News Anchor will present live and recorded news bulletins, introduce segments, and engage in on-air discussions in a clear, confident, and professional manner. Daily responsibilities include preparing scripts, reviewing news copy, coordinating with reporters and producers, and staying informed about current events and breaking news. The role involves conducting interviews, responding to developing stories in real time, and ensuring accurate, impartial delivery of information. The News Anchor will also collaborate with the editorial and technical teams to refine show formats, align content with network standards, and maintain a consistent on-screen presence.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Reporting skills, including gathering information, verifying facts, and covering live and developing stories.
- Candidates should possess solid Broadcasting and Presenter skills, with clear on-air delivery, camera presence, and the ability to handle live programming.
- Candidates should possess News Writing and Broadcast Journalism skills to craft concise, accurate scripts and adapt complex information for television audiences.
- Candidates should possess excellent verbal communication skills, strong command of relevant languages, and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Candidates should possess strong editorial judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to fair, unbiased reporting.
- Relevant experience as a news anchor, reporter, or broadcast journalist, preferably in television or digital video news, is highly beneficial.
- A degree or diploma in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse teams, adapt to changing news cycles, and maintain professionalism in high-pressure on-air situations.
