National Sales Head – Sales & Network Growth
Delhi NCR | Reports directly to the Founder & CEO
About Deltic
Deltic is the electric mobility brand of Delta Autocorp Limited, an NSE Emerge-listed Indian EV company founded in 2016. We design, manufacture and market electric 2-wheelers and 3-wheelers, including e-scooters, e-rickshaws, loaders and other commercial electric vehicles, with a focus on practical, reliable and cost-effective mobility solutions for the Indian market.
Today, Deltic has a presence across India with 350+ dealers and a growing product portfolio. We operate two manufacturing facilities, in West Bengal and Delhi NCR, and continue to invest in product development, engineering and our retail and dealer ecosystem.
We are at an exciting stage of our journey: moving from building a business to building a national brand and a high-performing sales organisation. We are not looking for someone to simply manage what already exists. We are looking for someone who wants to help build what comes next.
About the Role
This is not a conventional sales management role. The position requires you to work closely with the Founder & CEO on building and scaling the business.
We are looking for someone who knows how to create business, open markets, build channels and drive sales in a competitive, challenger-brand environment, where sales have to be actively created rather than generated primarily by existing brand pull.
You will have a large canvas, with the opportunity to shape our markets, dealer network, sales organisation, processes and growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive national sales and revenue growth across our 2W and 3W businesses
- Build and expand the dealer and distribution network across India
- Identify, appoint, onboard and activate new dealers and channel partners
- Improve the productivity, retail sales and ROI of existing dealers
- Develop new territories and create business in markets where the brand is not yet strong
- Drive both primary and retail/secondary sales through the channel
- Build and lead a high-performance sales team with clear targets, reporting discipline and accountability
- Personally drive important markets, dealers and opportunities, not manage only through reports
- Build strong relationships with dealers, channel partners and key market influencers
- Track sales pipeline, market activity, competition, dealer productivity and territory performance
- Work closely with marketing, product, operations, finance and service teams to convert market opportunities into sales
- Build scalable sales processes and systems as Deltic grows
What We Are Looking For
- 12–18 years of experience, including a proven record of building, managing or significantly growing a dealer, distributor or sales network
- A demonstrable track record of delivering sales targets, with achievements that can be substantiated
- Experience leading and motivating field sales teams
- Strong understanding of channel sales, territory development and dealer management
- A hands-on approach and willingness to be personally involved in building markets
- Comfort in an entrepreneurial environment where ownership, speed and execution matter
- Willingness to travel 10–15 days a month across India
Industry Background: Deliberately Open
Experience in automotive, EV, 2W or 3W is relevant but not a prerequisite. We are equally interested in strong sales leaders from other channel-driven, distribution-led and competitive businesses, such as:
Lubricants | Batteries | Tyres | Tractors | Agricultural Equipment | Consumer Durables | RO/Water Purification | Mobile Phones | Electrical/Electronics | Building Materials | Other Distribution-led Businesses.
The common denominator is not the product category. It is the ability to:
Create demand → appoint dealers → activate the channel → drive retail sales → build the market → deliver numbers.
We are particularly interested in people who have worked in challenger or less-established brands, where sales had to be actively created and the channel had to be built from the ground up.
Who Will Thrive in This Role
This role suits someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, whether a senior sales leader or someone who has built a business, territory or channel within a larger organisation. We are looking for people who:
- Want to build something of their own, with the platform, resources and support of a growing company
- Enjoy creating markets rather than simply managing existing ones
- Are comfortable with ambiguity, speed and ownership
- Take personal responsibility for outcomes
- Are willing to go into the market, meet dealers, understand the problem and find the solution
- Have the commercial instinct to spot opportunities and the persistence to pursue them
- Want to work closely with the Founder & CEO and directly influence the direction of the business
Why This Opportunity
Deltic's next phase of growth requires building, not just managing. You will work directly with the Founder & CEO and have the opportunity to influence:
Markets → Dealers → Sales Team → Processes → Strategy → Growth
For the right person, this role can evolve into a much larger business leadership position, potentially at the CXO level, with long-term incentive opportunities including ESOPs.
If you have ever thought, "Give me the responsibility and the freedom, and I can build this business," this could be that opportunity.
We value demonstrated sales capability and the ability to build a business more than the size of the company you worked for or the designation you held. If you have built territories, opened markets, created dealer networks, activated channels and consistently delivered numbers, we would like to hear from you.
How to Apply
Please email your profile along with a short note (5–6 lines) describing a business, territory or dealer network that you personally built, scaled or turned around and the results you achieved.
