Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Music Teacher role based at Mahesh Memorial Public Higher Secondary School in Bagh. The Music Teacher will plan and deliver engaging music lessons across appropriate grade levels, covering theory, vocal and instrumental performance, and appreciation of different musical forms. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, conducting classes and rehearsals, assessing student progress, and maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment. The role also involves organizing and preparing students for school events, assemblies, competitions, and cultural programs, as well as coordinating with other teachers to integrate music into broader school activities. The Music Teacher will participate in staff meetings, parent interactions, and professional development sessions, contributing to the school’s overall academic and co-curricular program.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Music Theory and general Music concepts relevant to school-level instruction.
- Proficiency in Music Performance, including vocal or instrumental skills, with the ability to demonstrate techniques to learners.
- Background in Music Education, with experience designing age-appropriate lessons and assessments.
- Ability to play Piano or another primary instrument and use it effectively in classroom teaching.
- Relevant academic qualification in Music (Diploma, Bachelor’s, or equivalent), preferably with training in education or pedagogy.
- Effective classroom management, clear communication skills, and a student-centered, inclusive teaching approach.
- Experience organizing school concerts, cultural programs, or music clubs is an advantage.
- Comfort working in a structured school environment and collaborating with faculty, students, and families.
