Job details:
Designday is a B2B product design and technology company helping startups, growing businesses, and enterprises build digital products people choose, trust, and love to use.
We work across product strategy, UX/UI design, digital experiences, AI-enabled products, websites, applications, and product development.
As we build and launch products for audiences across global markets, motion is becoming an important part of how we explain ideas, demonstrate products, communicate interactions, and tell product stories.
We’re looking for a UI Motion Designer / Product Motion & Prototyping Specialist who can transform static interfaces and product concepts into compelling visual stories.
This is not primarily a video-editing role.
We are looking for someone who understands interfaces, interaction design, storytelling, and product behaviour and knows how to bring all of them together through motion.
About the Role
You’ll work closely with our UX/UI designers, product teams, strategists, and developers to create motion-led experiences across Product launch videos, UI interaction prototypes, Feature demonstrations, Product walkthroughs, App and SaaS showcase videos, Explainer videos, Website interactions, Microinteractions, Product presentations, Social and launch content
You should be comfortable taking a product feature or even a rough idea and figuring out:
What is the story?
What should the audience understand first?
Which interactions matter?
How should the interface move?
How can we communicate the product visually without over-explaining it?
We value thinking and storytelling as much as animation execution.
What You'll Work On
UI Motion & Interaction Design
Turn static UI designs into polished motion experiences.
You’ll animate App and web interfaces, User flows, Microinteractions, Navigation patterns, Onboarding journeys, State transitions, Feature interactions, Dashboard experiences, AI product interactions, Product Launch Videos along with Testimonials & Stories.
Motion should not simply make the interface look impressive. It should help users understand the product/story.
Product Prototyping
Create high-fidelity interactive prototypes that help us demonstrate how a digital product should actually behave.
Depending on the project, you may work with tools such as:
Figma, ProtoPie, Rive, Jitter, Principle, After Effects, Lottie, or similar tools.
You should be comfortable understanding a product flow and translating it into a realistic interaction prototype.
Product Storytelling
We frequently need to explain complex digital products in a simple and engaging way.
You’ll help convert product features into visual narratives by identifying:
- The problem being solved
- The user context
- The key interaction
- The product value
- The right sequence of information
- The moments worth highlighting visually
The goal is to make someone understand a product within seconds, even if they have never seen it before.
Storyboarding & Visual Direction
Before opening After Effects, we expect you to think through the story.
You’ll create Storyboards, Motion concepts, Visual references, Moodboards, Scene sequences, Animation directions, Transition ideas, Interactions etc.
You should be able to independently take a brief and propose how the story should visually unfold.
Product Launch & Showcase Videos
Create polished product films and launch assets for products being introduced across global markets.
These may include SaaS product films, Mobile app showcases, Fintech product walkthroughs, AI product demonstrations, Website launch videos, Product feature announcements, Brand-led product films, Investor or sales demonstration videos.
These should feel closer to high-quality technology product storytelling than conventional corporate videos.

What We're Looking For
We’re looking for someone with approximately 2–5 years of relevant experience, although portfolio quality matters more than years of experience.
You should have:
- A strong portfolio demonstrating UI animation, product motion, interaction design, or product storytelling
- Strong understanding of UI/UX fundamentals
- Experience working with Figma-based product designs
- Ability to understand user flows and software interactions
- Strong storyboarding and visual storytelling ability
- Excellent sense of timing, pacing, hierarchy, and transitions
- Ability to turn product features into clear visual narratives
- Strong command of motion-design tools such as After Effects
- Experience creating polished product walkthroughs or launch videos
- Attention to interaction details rather than animation purely for decoration
- Ability to collaborate closely with UX designers, UI designers, developers, and product teams
Experience with Interaction design, Product design, SaaS products, Fintech products, AI products, Mobile applications, B2B software, Design systems, 3D motion, Interactive websites, AR/VR interfaces, Developer handoff for motion, Rive or Lottie implementation, Motion guidelines within design systems.
Experience working with startups, MSMEs, technology companies, or enterprise products will be especially valuable.
Compensation & Benefits
We want to attract exceptional product-motion talent, and our compensation is designed accordingly.
Competitive Compensation depending on experience, portfolio quality, product-thinking ability, and technical proficiency. Exceptional candidates with strong expertise across UI motion, interaction prototyping, product storytelling, and advanced motion workflows may be considered for compensation beyond market set range.
In addition to fixed compensation, team members may have access to:
- Performance-based bonuses linked to individual vidoe outputs
- Profit/revenue-sharing opportunities for high-impact, long-term contributors
- Flexible working arrangements and remote-work options
- Learning & experimentation budget for new tools, courses, and emerging motion/prototyping technologies
- Opportunities to work on global digital products and product launches
- Significant creative ownership across motion direction, storytelling, and product presentation
We believe exceptional creative talent should be rewarded for both craft and impact, not simply years of experience.
This Role May Not Be For You If
Your experience is primarily limited to:
- Cutting and editing footage
- Reels and social-media video editing
- Template-based motion graphics
- Basic logo animation
- Applying transitions to existing videos
Those skills can be useful, but they are not the core of this role.
We need someone who can start with a product, user flow, Figma file, or idea and independently think through how it should be communicated through motion.
What We Value
Product Thinking: You understand that motion exists to communicate behaviour, not simply decoration.
Storytelling: You can decide what the audience needs to see first, what should be revealed next, and how a visual sequence should build.
Craft: You notice details in easing, timing, hierarchy, typography, composition, and transitions.
Curiosity: You actively follow how leading technology companies communicate their products.
Ownership: You can take a brief from concept to storyboard to finished motion rather than waiting for frame-by-frame direction.
Collaboration: You enjoy working alongside designers, developers, strategists, and product teams.
Why Join Designday?
Work on Products, Not Just Campaigns: You’ll work closely with real digital products, interfaces, and product teams understanding how products function before communicating them visually.
Global Product Exposure: You’ll contribute to products and digital experiences being designed and launched for businesses across different industries and markets.
Creative Ownership: You’ll have the opportunity to influence how products are presented, explained, and experienced not simply execute predetermined animations.
Cross-Functional Learning: Work closely with product designers, UX researchers, strategists, developers, and technology teams.
Experiment With New Tools: Explore emerging workflows across AI, interaction design, prototyping, 3D, generative tools, and real-time motion.
Build a Strong Product-Motion Portfolio: Instead of creating disconnected marketing assets, you’ll build work around complete product stories, experiences, and launches.
How to Apply
Please share:
- Your portfolio / showreel
- 2–3 examples of your strongest UI motion, product video, interaction prototype, or product storytelling work
- The tools you primarily use
- Your role in each project — concept, storyboard, design, animation, editing, prototyping, etc.
- A short explanation of how you approach turning a static product interface into a motion-led story
Shortlisted candidates may be asked to walk us through one project and explain the thinking, storyboard, interaction decisions, and execution behind it. If you enjoy turning product visuals into stories and making digital products feel alive, we’d love to see your work.
