About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Microsoft 365 Information Protection / Purview professional with strong hands-on expertise in data security, information protection, and DLP across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable designing, implementing, and managing Microsoft Purview security and compliance solutions, with practical experience across endpoints, Microsoft 365 workloads, identity, and data protection controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and manage Microsoft Purview Information Protection and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions.
- Implement and manage Sensitivity Labels, auto-labeling policies, encryption, and protection controls.
- Configure and manage Sensitive Information Types (SITs), custom classifiers, and Exact Data Match (EDM).
- Implement and manage Endpoint DLP policies for Intune-managed Windows devices.
- Work with Microsoft Entra ID and Conditional Access to support information protection and access control requirements.
- Review and manage SharePoint Online and OneDrive permissions, sharing configurations, and oversharing risks.
- Implement and manage sensitivity labeling in Power BI / Microsoft Fabric.
- Assess and improve Microsoft 365 Copilot security and readiness, including data access, permissions, and information protection considerations.
- Troubleshoot DLP, labeling, access, and policy-related issues across the Microsoft 365 environment.
- Work with stakeholders to understand security requirements and translate them into appropriate Microsoft security controls.
- Support security assessments, policy reviews, documentation, testing, and implementation activities.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–7 years of overall experience in Microsoft 365 Security, Information Protection, Data Security, or a related domain.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview and Microsoft 365 security solutions.
Strong practical knowledge of:
- Microsoft Purview Information Protection
- Microsoft Purview DLP
- Sensitivity Labels & Auto-labeling
- Sensitive Information Types (SITs)
- Custom Classifiers

- Microsoft Intune

- Microsoft 365 Copilot security and readiness
- Experience designing and implementing information protection and DLP policies in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 data security, access controls, permissions, and data governance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex security and compliance issues.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Good to Have
- Microsoft security/compliance certifications such as SC-400, SC-300, or related Microsoft certifications.
- Experience working with enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 environments.
- Experience in security assessments, policy design, and compliance implementations.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Defender and broader Microsoft Security solutions.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot deployment, governance, and security readiness.
What We’re Looking For
- We are looking for someone who is hands-on and implementation-focused, rather than someone with only theoretical knowledge of Microsoft Purview. The candidate should be able to independently configure policies, analyze security requirements, troubleshoot issues, and recommend practical solutions.
