Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Merchandiser role based in Erode. The Merchandiser will manage end-to-end product development and order execution, including coordinating with buyers, understanding specifications, and translating requirements to production and sampling teams. Daily responsibilities include tracking orders, monitoring timelines, maintaining documentation, and ensuring product quality and compliance with customer standards. The role involves liaising with internal departments such as design, production, quality, and logistics, while maintaining strong communication with customers regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and approvals. The Merchandiser will analyze market trends, support assortment planning, and contribute to presentations and reports that enhance customer satisfaction and business growth.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with buyers, internal teams, and suppliers.
- Sales and Retail experience to understand market trends, product positioning, and customer expectations.
- Marketing knowledge to support product presentations, brand alignment, and promotional activities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic data analysis for order tracking, reporting, and documentation.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills for managing multiple styles, timelines, and approvals.
- Experience in apparel/textile merchandising or related fields; familiarity with knitted garments and export processes is an advantage.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, Merchandising, Business, or a related discipline.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to evolving customer needs.
