Role Description The MEP Testing and Commissioning role at HTL is an on-site position based in Mumbai. This role involves planning, executing, and documenting testing and commissioning activities for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems in line with project specifications and industry standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing design documents, preparing test procedures, conducting field inspections, performing functional performance tests, and validating system integration and reliability. The role requires close coordination with project managers, design teams, site engineers, and clients to ensure timely resolution of technical issues and successful handover of systems. The professional in this role will also support quality assurance, prepare detailed reports, and contribute to continuous improvement of testing methodologies and commissioning processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to evaluate system performance, interpret technical data, and troubleshoot MEP issues.
- Candidates should possess Testing and Test Cases skills to plan, execute, and document structured tests for MEP components and integrated systems.
- Candidates should possess Software Testing skills where relevant for building management systems, control software, or monitoring tools used in MEP projects.
- Candidates should possess Communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, contractors, and clients, and to produce clear technical documentation.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in MEP testing and commissioning for commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Working knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety).
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and using testing tools, measurement instruments, and reporting software.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, manage time effectively, and adapt to project schedules.
