Role Description The MEP Project Engineer will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for on-site projects in the Greater Delhi Area. This full-time role includes reviewing designs and drawings, preparing technical documentation, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and safety standards. The MEP Project Engineer will coordinate with architects, structural engineers, vendors, and contractors to resolve technical issues, manage site activities, and support project scheduling and resource allocation. Daily responsibilities include monitoring installation quality, conducting inspections and testing, updating progress reports, and supporting commissioning and handover activities. The role also involves identifying risks, suggesting value-engineering solutions, and contributing to continuous improvement of project delivery processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) knowledge, with hands-on experience integrating MEP systems on construction projects.
- Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering skills, including understanding of HVAC, piping, and equipment layout and performance.
- Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering skills, including power distribution, lighting, controls, and safety systems design and coordination.
- Candidates should possess Plumbing expertise, including water supply, drainage, fire-fighting systems, and related codes and standards.
- Candidates should possess Project Management capabilities, including planning, scheduling, progress tracking, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent) is preferred.
- Experience with construction drawings, BIM or CAD tools, and familiarity with local building codes and international standards is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site and manage multiple priorities.
- Prior experience in commercial, industrial, or retail projects and a proven focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery will be an advantage.
