Role Description The MEP AGM (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Assistant General Manager) is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. The role involves overseeing MEP design, planning, and execution for residential and commercial projects, ensuring systems are installed and commissioned in line with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include coordinating with MEP Consultants, Architects, structural engineers, and contractors, reviewing drawings and specifications, monitoring project progress, and resolving technical issues on-site. The MEP AGM will manage vendor and contractor relationships, support budgeting and cost control for MEP works, and ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment. The role also requires day to day coordination, mentoring site teams, and implementing best practices for energy efficiency, sustainability, and preventive maintenance.
Qualifications
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in building projects, including design review and execution oversight.
- Experience in project management for real estate or construction, covering planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and site coordination.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and compliance standards applicable to MEP installations.
- Understanding of Environmental Clearance requirements for Large scale projects is an advantage.
- Ability to work with drawings and documentation, including MEP layouts, BOQs, technical specifications, and progress reports.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills for working with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in supervising site teams, guiding junior staff, and driving timely completion of project milestones.
- Proficiency in using standard office software; exposure to CAD or MEP design tools is an advantage.
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (or a related field), with substantial experience in MEP roles; prior experience at a managerial or AGM level in real estate or construction is preferred.
- Exposure to High rise Residential and Commercial developments and Luxury Residential Projects is an advantage.
