Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role based in ONGC Oodalarevu. The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for planning and performing routine and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment in the plant, ensuring safe and efficient operations. Daily tasks include inspecting machinery, diagnosing mechanical issues, coordinating repairs, and implementing preventive maintenance schedules. The role involves collaborating with production and safety teams, maintaining maintenance records, and supporting root cause analysis for equipment failures. The engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and optimization of equipment performance.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Mechanical Maintenance.
- Candidates should possess solid Maintenance Engineering and Maintenance & Repair skills.
- Candidates should possess experience in Preventive Maintenance and reliability-focused maintenance practices.
- Relevant engineering degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in maintenance within chemical, process, or industrial plants is beneficial.
- Knowledge of safety standards, permit-to-work systems, and regulatory compliance in industrial environments.
- Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals, and use standard maintenance tools and diagnostic instruments.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively on-site within cross-functional teams.
